Divorce Advice

Protect Your Standard Of Living

Let’s face it, divorce isn’t easy. In fact, it’s one of the most emotionally challenging things you will ever have to go through. The relative safety and stability of your marriage has left you with feelings of abandonment, betrayal and suspicion. Where there was once a union of common purpose is now a game of backstabbing and selfishness as your former partner takes for themselves without regard for the quality of your life. Hasty decisions are being made by someone lost in a cloud of emotions that could easily turn into decades of struggling to make ends meet.

Divorce advice is in abundance from well intended friends and family members, but they don’t have to live with the consequence of their own advice. And even though statistically more than half of the people you know are divorce survivors, the fact that most marriages end this way is of little consolation when faced with the reality of your own divorce. The truth is that divorce can actually make your monthly expenses go up while simultaneously lowering your standard of living. You need expert divorce advice before it’s too late.

You Need Expert Divorce Advice

Getting the right divorce advice can be a challenge all by itself. These days it seems that just about everyone you know has gone through a divorce and is more than willing to pass along the same divorce advice that was given to them. But the truth is, that was their divorce and this one is yours, their situation was different and however well-intended, their divorce advice is nearly useless to you. So where do you go for the best divorce advice?

You need someone who was at the top of their class. You need a lawyer with verifiable experience spanning decades, not just years. Why We Say “Divorce Advice”

From time to time someone asks why we use the term “Divorce Advice” instead of just saying “divorce” or “family law”. The reason for this is simply because we feel that giving divorce advice more accurately represents our job. This is also why years of experience are so vitally important, because without knowledge and experience, a lawyer simply cannot give the best divorce advice. A divorce is filled with opportunities and riddled with pitfalls at the same time. Kathy knows many ways to get you safely through your divorce with the best possible outcome, but ultimately all the decisions are up to you.

What Others Are Saying

Thank you so much for taking over my divorce case. My prior attorney, as you know, was a nightmare! Had my friends not recommended I switch to you I know I would be in deep trouble. I would, no doubt, have lost everything!

I remember you said at our first meeting that many attorneys will promise you the world and know they cannot deliver. You told me to sit outside of a Family Law Court and watch as attorneys and client exit. As promised, there were many, many very unhappy clients arguing with their attorneys stating “but you said…” I am so glad that I listened to you and that you were honest about what to expect and what I would be entitled to. I appreciate the way you explained everything to me, sometimes many times! The best thing – I really liked how apparent it was that you were well respected by your peers and the judges. Thanks for everything.

Nancy B.

When I compared my billings from your firm with the billings from my wife’s firm, I was literally shocked. Your charges were about 1/3 of what hers were. They charged her for every postage stamp (actually more than the actual stamp) and 25¢ per copy, of which there were many. She had no way of verifying the “costs” she was incurring. I really appreciate the way you kept my costs down and didn’t even charge me for postage, copies and short telephone calls.

I just wanted to thank you for your great assistance throughout my divorce process and thank you for always being prepared and professional in court. After watching my wife’s attorney bumble around, not understanding the law or knowing the facts, I was really thankful that I hired you to represent me. Further, I really liked you! Your sense of humor helped during this difficult time. It was really nice to have a laugh now and again!
